RNLI Visit

Today we welcomed into the Academy Fraser Gunn a volunteer for the RNLI. RNLI stands for Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

This week our theme for Acts of Worship is Keeping Safe and Mr Dean organised this interesting visit. Later in the week Key Stage Two are thinking about keeping safe online with e-safety workshops planned.

Mr Gunn showed us some DVDs showing us some of the amazing RNLI resuces and he introduced us to Monty who  told us about being SAFE - safe stands for:

S - Spot the danger

A - Always go with a friend

F - Follow the signs

E - Emergency call 999 / 112 and raise your hand if in danger out at sea.

"It was important for us to know about this as we often go to the beach during the school holidays and one day this information could help save a life," commented Calum in Year 6.

Many thanks to Fraser Gunn for such an interesting talk.
