Releasing the Elvers
This week has been a special week for the pupils in Reception. They have been working hard to prepare for their final class assembly and even managed to fit in a trip to Highnam Court to release their elvers.
For the past couple of months their topic has been about growing and they have been watching with anticipation as the little elvers have grown. Their final journey with Highnam Academy was a short trip to Highnam Court to be released into the lakes. Whilst there the pupils even had the opportunity to taste smoked eel.
