News from Miss Read's return to Highnam Academy
Pupils and staff were surprised by Miss Read's return from Mozambique. On a flying visit back to the UK she popped in to work with each class. The pupils have been learning some Portuguese and helped to provide resources to be used by the pupils back in the Mozambique.
It was lovely to hear Miss Read's stories about her time in Mozambique and the positive impact she is having there. The pupils in every classroom asked some thoughtful questions and Miss Read has been overwhelmed by the encouraging comments and warmth of friendship shown by the Highnam community.
