Year 1 Visit the Almonry Museum25 March 2018 (by admin) |
A special Victorian adventure!
Pupils in Year 1 had an exciting learning experience at the Almonry museum in Evesham this week. All this term the pupils have been learning about the Victorians and dressed up to mark the occasion. The pupils were joined by staff and parent helpers (who were also in Victorian outfits) as they experienced a range of Victorian scenarios including being in at school. They even had the opportunity to try out soon traditional Victorian pastimes including the Cup-and-ball challenge.
A big thank you to Miss Spry and the Year 1 team for organising the trip and it was lovely to receive the following email from the museum...
We must compliment you on bringing such a delightful class to the Almonry. We were impressed with their prior learning, their thoughtful response and also their behaviour. In particular their listening skills were markedly well developed. They are a credit to you and to your school.
Well done Year 1!
