News from James Carter's Visit to Highnam Academy

We had a super day with children's poet James Carter on Wednesday this week. James joined us for the whole day to inspire our learning. He led two morning assemblies and followed this up with workshops across the school. At the end of the day we joined back together in the hall to hear some of the poetry written during the day. It was exciting to hear the great poetry and to see the pupils so enthused by the visit...thank you James!
