Highnam Church Of England Primary Academy

On Wednesday GB Swimmer Joe Roebuck shared his swimming experiences with us at Highnam Academy. Joe talked about the challenges he has faced in his career and how he never gave up his dream of representing Great Britain in the Olympics. After just missing out on qualification for Rio he then achieved his goal by representing GB three times at the 2012 Olympics. After sharing his experiences, showing us his European and Commonwealth medals and answering questions Joe took 2 engaging PE lessons for pupils in Years 3 and 4. Finally he officially opened our new field path. It was great to meet you Joe and thank you for your inspiring visit to Highnam Academy.
