Highnam Church Of England Primary Academy

This week our Year 6 pupils joined with other pupils from Church of England schools in Gloucestershire to celebrate the end of their primary school days. This year had the focus was 'holding on' and each pupil was given the gift of a holding cross specially carved from wood sourced from Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. Tatianna and Joseph proudly led the banner procession for Highnam and Matthew offered the school donation to Christian Aid and received the candle from the front on behalf of the school. This year our pupils performed a dance and sang an iSingPOP song with Staunton and Corse Academy. Bishop Rachel opened and closed our service with a prayer and special blessing. After the service we enjoyed a treat from Jane's pantry back at school!
