Terrific TEAMS Treat for Highnam Pupils26 May 2017 (by admin) |
Update from our special activities week
Pupils enjoyed a special week of activities. TEAMS stood for Technology, Engineering, Art, Maths and Science. Various learning opportunities were planned: egg drops, water challenges, wind powered vehicle challenges, boat experiments, erupting monster and much more.
Every class had a trip out during the week. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in a special teams event at Hartpury College, Year 3 visited Over Farm, Yea 3 and 4 visited Highnam Court, Year 5 travelled to Crypt School for an engineering day and Year 6 headed to Sir Thomas Rich's School.
On Friday pupils in Key Stage Two had a special morning planned by the Sports Crew. An assault course, bike challenge, treasure hunt and a mini team sports day were set up for the pupils to enjoy. At the end of the week we all joined together in the hall for a special Collective Worship celebrating the successes from the week and to thank staff for a fantastic 5 days of learning.
