Highnam Church Of England Primary Academy

On Tuesday 25th April 6 teams from 5 local schools came together for the Highnam Academy Tag Rugby Festival. Hempsted, Churchdown Village, Redmarley and Staunton and Corse joined Highnam pupils for a fun and friendly festival. After the group stage Hempsted A progressed through to play Churchdown who pipped Highnam by 1 point. Highnam were up against Hempsted B in the 3/4 playoffs. Tries from Woody, Tyler and Lucia saw Highnam finish in 3rd place. The pupils played through sun and snow but thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you to all the pupils who contributed to the afternoon and the wonderful support from parents and pupils. Congratulations to Hempsted school who beat Churchdown in the final 4-2.
