Following a superb race at Newent school Nathan has been selected to take part in the Year 5 national cross country race to be held in Leicestershire in a couple of weeks time. Nathan finished in 23rd place in the county race and was the 5th fastest Year 5 boy. The top 10 from each year group were selected for the national race. A big well done to Martha in Year 4. She finished in 26th place overall and would have qualified for the national race but Year 4 pupils weren't able to progress to the next stage. However, it was a great experience for her and will help for next year! Finally, thank you to Miss Owen for running the cross country club on a Friday after school and for being their to support Nathan and Martha on Saturday.
