Highnam beaten in final of the Tag Rugby County Final
Highnam were excited to represent the Forest of Dean in the annual Tag Rugby County Final. This year the festival was held at Old Richians in Longlevens. Highnam played in Pool A against Coalway, Castle Hill and Airthrie. The festival was organised by the Police and included a dog handler display, traffic police vehicles and a fire engine.
Highnam won their first game 8-7 against Coalway and their second 8-6 against Castle Hill. This meant a win against Airthrie would see them through to the semi-finals. Highnam beat Airthrie and therefore were through to play Berry Hill. In a close game Highnam won 9-7 and reached the County Final.
In the final game Bream deservingly won the game 9-6. A great day of tag rugby - well done to the team for playing so well and to the Police for organising such an enjoyable festival.
