Red Nose Day Talent Show

Pupils from Highnam Primary Academy joined together to support Comic Relief today by wearing non uniform and taking part in a talent show. There was a wonderful array of talent on display from the youngest in the school through to the oldest. There was a whole school dance number, in Year One and Two we had a mixture of joke telling, singing and magic tricks. In Key Stage Two we saw some musical talent with the drums, guitar, trombone, clarinet and piano being played. There were also a number of funny sketches and dances. The show was rounded off by a few of the older pupils pretending to be some of the teachers.

Helen, Hannah and Molly organised a 'guess the bear competition' and Mrs Hogarth baked an amazing cake which was auctioned with the proceeds going to Comic Relief. A few other pupils were involved in a sponsored silence and had to use mini-whiteboards to communicate.

The grand total raised today was about £453 - which included over £200 kindly donated by the PTC from the film night! Thank you for supporting this event and to all the pupils who contributed to a great day... Highnam really does have talent!
