Newent Cricket Festival win for Highnam Boys

On a beautiful afternoon Highnam Cricket team headed to Newent Cricket Club to take part in the annual cricket event. Highnam were playing againt seven other local teams. In group A were Ann Cam, Tibberton and Mitcheldean. After winning all of these matches Highnam played Red Marley in the semi-final, after a good victory, Highnam were through to the final to play against Tibberton again.

Tibberton batted first and were restricted to 176 for 12. Next it was the turn of Highnam to bat and they scored 284 for 3 in their 8 overs. It was a superb display from the team all afternoon. Well done team and all the best for the County Finals in Cheltenham.
