Boys reach semi-final of Cricket Festival

On a muggy afternoon 8 teams competed for the right to represent the Forest of Dean at the County Finals in Cheltenham. Highnam were drawn against Hartpury and Drybrook. After a very close game Highnam lost their first match by 1 run and then beat Drybook by 28 runs. This meant they had to wait on the result of match between Drybrook and Hartpury. That match was drawn so Highnam had to play Staunton and Corse and narrowly lost and therefore finished the tournament in fourth place. 

We had a great number of parents supporting the team and Mr Lewis has taken some wonderful photos from the afternoon. Here are a selection below.
