Children in Need 2013

Once again, the Highnam Academy Community joined together to support the BBC charity Children in Need. This year the theme was heroes - so the Academy was filled with a variety of superheroes such as Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Iron Man, Super Ted, the Hulk, Batgirl and many more. Other people dressed up as their hero so we had Gloucester rugby players, RAF officers, doctors, nurses, soldiers - a wonderful array of heroes were on show.

Throughout the week Mrs Honan had been running a lucky dip for the chance to win two Pudsey Bears, we had the pennies for Pudsey challenge in the hall, a cake sale and even the odd sponsored event going on. Finally Mrs Trigg-Hogarth baked a superhero Children in Need cake... continuing a long-running Highnam tradition.

In total Highnam Academy raised a super total of £369.90 - thank you everyone
