We are thrilled to have been awarded the platinum level accreditation award from the OPAL programme which focuses on outdoor play and learning. This puts Highnam in the top 1% of schools in the country for the play provision that is available to our children at lunch time every single day of the school year.
Over the past year, we have been on quite a journey and are proud to now be offering a wide variety of different play experiences for our children including but not limited to; den building, dressing up, small world play, a sandpit, digging, mud kitchen, scooters and bikes, dancing and water!
To find out more about what OPAL at Highnam involves, take a look at our OPAL Play Policy and see it in action below.
In order to keep up our exciting play provision we rely on the wonderful support of our community for donations. We have a donation drop off point at the end of the car park in front of the school so if you are having a clear out and think that you find something that could be used for play, please don't hesitate to drop it off.
