Writing Project for Year 5/6
In the final week of Term 5 Miss Coldrick, Mrs Ruxton, Mr Tibbles and Mr Dean planned a special project for the pupils of Year 5/6. On Monday morning the pupils discovered that a new theme park was planned near to the school. Following a quick visit to the proposed site the pupils had to create the main ride for the new theme park.
The next day the pupils had to write to the local council to put forward a balanced argument explaining the positive and negative reasons for the theme park. The pupils planned their thoughts carefully and then produced some fantastic letters.
After half term the pupils will be producing persuasive leaflets for their new theme parks - pick one up for some summer holiday days out ideas.
