In Year 3 and 4 we have been looking at language plays and poetry. We learnt about spoonerisms...
Spoonerisms are words or phrases in which letters or syllables get swapped. This often happens accidentally in slips of the tongue (or tips of the slung). Spoonerisms are named after the Reverend W. A. Spooner (1844-1930) who was apparently renown for the odd slip of the tongue.
After our lesson Charlie went home and created her own fantastic spoonerisms... enjoy!
