Houses in Highnam
Today Year 3/4 walked down to Maidenhall, part of the village of Highnam. The aim of the walk was to learn about the style of houses built pre and post World War II. We looked at various houses in Maidenhall - we spotted a mix of red brick, pebbledash and half timbering with red clay tile roofs. Next we spotted some houses with a bay window and circular windows. Finally there was also some new bungalows built after the war which had all the rooms on a single level.
Can you spot the bay angled windows?
