Highnam says 'Goodbye'

Yesterday we all enjoyed taking part in the Leavers' assembly. Parents, grandparents and friends, joined with the whole school, to watch as we had our final assembly as primary school pupils. There were lots of exciting parts to the assembly we shared our memories, most embarrassing moments, showed some of the PGL activities on the big screen, musical talents and sang the leavers' song.

It was a special time for the school as we were also saying goodbye to Mrs Parsons, Mrs Chaloner, Mrs Ames, Mrs Grote and Miss Matthews. During one of the songs we all held up a banner of the teachers that were leaving it was a very emotional time for everyone.

Highnam Academy would like to thank Mrs Parsons for being a wonderful headteacher for the last 14 years and Mrs Chaloner for teaching in Year Two and leading the infant classes. You have been an example to us all.
