Year 5/6 Creative Writing Workshop

This morning we spent our time with an English Secondary School Teacher. We were learning all about writing in creative and innovative way. We were split into teams and had a number of challenges to complete. We wrote descriptive sentences based on the beach and even enjoyed a tasty ice cream to help us understand the importance of taste when writing. We began to write our descriptive writing about the beach using what we learnt and our writing plans. The winning team was the smiley faces which included: Hannah D, Emily, Charlotte, Alex, James, Isabel and Matt.

It was a great morning the time just flew by and we were given some very helpful tips for writing, we even got to walk in some sand to help us imagine we were walking on a beautiful sandy beach.
