Tasty Toast Instructions

This week we started to learn how to write a good set of instructions. We learnt about the features of an instructional piece of writing. We needed a heading, introduction, a list of equipment, instructions using bossy words to start each new instruction. Finally we needed to remember sub-headings and pictures to help if required.

During our lesson today, Mr Dean surprised us all, by making toast with jam on. We had to create the instructions to help make the toast and we even got to have some at the end of the lesson.

"The best english lesson ever, the toast was delicious!" commented Billy.
