Re-invent the Wheel Winners

Congratulations to Highnam Academy and Ellwood Primary who were awarded first prize in the primary school category of the Re-invent the Wheel County Council Competition. Excitedly, each school has won a refurbished bike, kindly donated by Gloucestershire Bike Project. 

The pupils of Year One worked extremely hard to create an exciting tyre and were thrilled to hear the news that they had ben awarded first prize.

It would have been quite tricky cutting the bike up to let each child take a piece home; so instead all the names in the class were put into a hat to see who would actually take home the bike. The winner from Class 1H was Ewan.
