House Shoebox Challenge
Over past few weeks the pupils of Highnam C of E Primary Academy have been preparing shoe boxes for the Operation Christmas Child appeal. Every year the organisation sends thousands of shoe boxes to disadvantaged children across Europe.
The pupils needed to choose whether the box would be for a boy or girl and then buy some toys and toiletries to go in it. We have been overwhelmed by the response - there are towers of shoe boxes now in the school hall,
Thank you to all pupils and parents that prepared the shoe boxes. A grand total of 110 boxes were made.
Wetherleigh and Oakridge were joint winners making 34 boxes each.
Maidenhall was 3rd with 26 and Lassington 4th with 16.
