Years 5 and 6 Visit Gloucester Prison17 October 2018 (by admin) |
News from the school trip
The pupils in Years 5 and 6 have been to visit Gloucester Prison as part of their Crime and Punishment topic for this term. The prison which was functioning as a prison up until 2013 was about to close to the public for the final time.
Following a talk from Kay in the old meeting room the groups split up and headed around the premise. We saw A, B and C wings, the exercise yard, the old gate entrance, the health suite, kitchen and chapel.
It was a fascinating visit and we found out so much about the prison - thank you to all the staff who supported us on our tour,
