Highnam Church Of England Primary Academy

This year’s summer concert was definitely one to remember, lots of drummers, guitarists, piano recorders and an awesome choir, these and many other things made a special night. It kick-started with the brass band with an international theme - a big thank you to Gloucester Brass for supporting the after school club. After a few soloists it was the recorders turn, hot cross buns was one of the songs that they played. Then Nathan P wowed the audience with an outstanding performance of Hall Of Fame. Next, Nathan B did a heart-melting piano cover of Somewhere Only We Know. Sam B played an amazing guitar solo - Greensleeves. Next it was my turn (I’m Matthew by the way), I started playing James Bond but my Hi-Hat fell down! I carried on and finished it. Then it was the choir’s turn, they sang Freedom, Something Inside So Strong and Lean On Me. We had two beautiful singers and dancers as well - Macauley and Zoe performed treats from the West End Stage. Thank you to all involved and to Mrs House, Mrs Ruxton and Mrs Smith for supporting the pupils during the concert.
