Olympic Fever
With the Rio Olympics a few weeks away we have be enjoying learning about the countries involved, the different events and even meeting people who have taken part in Olympic Games.
Firstly, we had a visit from Olympic rower Natasha Page who took part in the London and Beijing Olympics competing in the women's eight. It was great to hear here story and how much it meant to her to represent Great Britain at the Olympics.

Next we had a visit from Mark Fosbrook. He is an European Gold medallist and is part of the reserve squad keeping himself in peak condition ready for the Paralympics Games which are due to start in September.
All the pupils had the opportunity to hold the European gold medal and ask Mark questions during our Collective Worship and pupils in Key Stage 2 took part in wheelchair basketball workshops.
A big thank you to both our visitors - we can't wait for the Olympics to begin!
