Unit Two visit to Lassington Woods
On Wednesday 8th September Unit Two went on a discovery walk to Lassington Woods. The trip was part of our new topic called Creatures and their Habitats. There were two challenges we had to undertake when in the woods. Firstly, we had all drawn a creature we could find in the woods and these had been lamintated and hidden. The group which found the most woodland creatures would be the winners.

The second task involved decoding a special code. The letters were:
S O C V Y D I R E
While we were decoding the top secret code we had to find items in the woods for each letter e.g. for c we collected a conker, for r a red berry. Once we had collected enough items we then had to rearrange the letters. The word we worked out was D I S C O V E R Y.

At the end of out trip we found out that Mrs Davis' group had collected the most woodland drawings with an impressive total of 17.
Thank you to all of the parent helpers who came on the trip with us.
