Sports Day 2014

This year the pupils of Highnam Academy participated in their designated houses. This was the first time we were able to include Sports Day in our programme of activities for the house events. Anxiously, we waited to see whether the event would take place as the weather forecast wasn't very good. 

However at 1:30pm, we were ready to start. It was great to see all the Key Stage Two pupils taking part in the various events - sprinting, skipping, sack racing and much more.

The afternoon ran very smoothly and the result was very close...

Congratulations to Lassington house who won by 1 point from Maidenhall. Oakridge house was third and Wetherleigh fourth. The competitors were supported throughout the afternoon by a fantastic crowd of parents, grandparents and friends and we are all looking forward to the Key Stage One Sports Day in Term 6.
