Girls' Football League

This year Highnam girls have been taking part in the Gloucester League. It has been the first time Highnam has had a girls' team and they were keen to impress. Following some great training sessions with Mrs Townsend they were ready for their first match against Longlevens, which they won 4-1. Next up was a tough fixture against Robinswood. After taking an early lead, the team finally lost that game 2-1 with nearly the last kick of the match!

Games against Coney Hill and St Peter's followed - Highnam winning 3-0 and 6-0. Therefore at the end of their first season the team finished in a very respectable 2nd place. Well done to Kelsey (the captain) and the rest of the team.
