2nd Place in the Cotswold Athletics Festival

On a windy Saturday morning a selection of Key Stage Two pupils represented Highnam Academy in an athletics festival at the Prince of Wales Stadium in Cheltenham. Each year five schools compete for the Javelin Trophy, the five schools are: Blockley, Woodchester, Tilbrook, Tewkesbury and Highnam.

Well done to the following athletes for winning their race at the Cotswold Athletics Festival -

Adam (!000m), Long Jump, 400m and 100m.

James T - Year 5 400m

Ellie - Year 4 75m Sprint

Haydn - Year 4 75m Sprint

Adam, Leon, Alex and Matthew - Year 5/6 200m

At the end of the event Highnam finished in 2nd place, just behind Tewkesbury.Mr Fisher, who helps to organise the event brought along his olympic torch and we were able to have our photo taken with it.
