Great Community Coffee Morning
On Monday 14th December Highnam Academy invited friends from the community to join them for a festive coffee morning. The Academy was working in partnership with our friends at Holy Innocents Church and it was great to meet our visitors - some hadn't been in the school since their grandchildren were in the school nearly 20 years ago!
Our visitors were treated to a variety of performances. Firstly, Key Stage Two sang a number of songs from iSingPOP. Afterwards we welcomed into the Academy our friends from Gloucester Brass band to share a number of Christmas songs with us.
Next pupils from Key Stage One sang some songs from the iSingPOP Christmas concert and finally we heard from the Highnam Academy choir.
A big thank you to Miss Coldrick for organising the pupils that performed during the morning, to Gloucester Brass Band and to the team of volunteers for helping to run the kitchen.
We look forward to running another coffee morning next year.
